Scope
SongDuel Game is operated by SSMK Consulting LLC in South Carolina, United States. It lets players choose songs, listen to snippets, vote, and compare player scores in private rooms. The separate SongDuel personal-ranking app is covered by its own privacy policy.
We do not sell personal information, use advertising identifiers, or use your game data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Account information
Sign in with Apple supplies an account identifier and, when you choose to share them, your name and email or private relay address. We use these details to authenticate you and maintain your game account. Account records and sessions are managed through the game’s dedicated Supabase service. Apple sign-in and Apple Music permission are separate.
Rooms and shared content
Cloud rooms store room codes, account identifiers, player names, selected-song metadata, votes, scores, presence timestamps, game settings, and game status. This information is used to synchronize gameplay and show the results to participants. Song cards omit the submitting player’s name during the battle, but the room service retains ownership information to score votes. Treat room codes as invitations and share them only with people you intend to invite.
If you choose a profile photo, the local image is stored on your device. If you enable “Share photo with room”, a small thumbnail is uploaded to the game service and shown to room participants and on the game’s TV display. Photo sharing is optional and off unless you enable it. Sign in with Apple does not supply a profile photo. Turning sharing off removes the shared thumbnail from your current room when connected.
Apple Music and local demo
Apple Music permission lets you browse available songs and playlists. Library metadata used for browsing stays on your device; metadata for songs selected for a live room is shared with the room service. Apple serves the music previews and artwork directly to the listener’s device. Audio is not uploaded to or relayed by our room backend. SongDuel Game does not create or modify Apple Music playlists.
Apple controls its music permissions, tokens, content, storefront availability, and purchase services under its own privacy practices. The public demo uses original bundled sample recordings and simulated opponents without an account or cloud room. Local practice games do not create multiplayer cloud rooms.
Optional tips
Tips are optional, one-time consumable purchases handled by Apple. The app verifies Apple’s transaction result and finishes confirmed purchases. Tips do not unlock music or gameplay. We do not receive or store your credit-card details. Apple manages payment information, receipts, refunds, and its purchase records.
Uses and service providers
We use game information to authenticate accounts, operate rooms, synchronize choices and votes, display results, support users, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability. Supabase provides account authentication, database hosting, and server functions. Apple provides Sign in with Apple, MusicKit, music media, and in-app purchases. GitHub Pages hosts this website.
This website has no advertising trackers or first-party analytics cookies. Hosting and infrastructure providers may process IP addresses, request timestamps, browser information, and security logs to operate their services. Support messages are processed by your email provider and ours. We may disclose information when legally required, to protect users and the service, or to providers operating on our behalf.
Retention and security
Account information is retained while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Temporary cloud rooms and their dependent player data are scheduled for deletion after the room expires and a 24-hour grace period. Cleanup runs in batches, so deletion is not instantaneous. Leaving a room clears its shared thumbnail. Local settings and media caches may remain on your device until removed or cleared by the app or operating system.
New permanent winning-song analytics collection is disabled. Any previously recorded historical winning-song metadata contains catalog and room/game identifiers, not user identifiers or audio.
Deleting your account requires reauthorization with the same Apple Account to revoke its sign-in grant and delete associated account and game data. Limited provider backup, security, fraud-prevention, or legally required records may remain under the provider’s retention practices. Apple retains its own purchase records. We use encrypted transport, platform storage controls, database access policies, and the iOS Keychain where appropriate. No security method guarantees absolute protection.
Your choices and rights
In Profile, you can disconnect Apple Music, manage your local photo and room photo-sharing choice, sign out, or delete your game account. You can also revoke Apple Music permission in iOS Settings. Disconnecting Apple Music does not modify your Apple Music library or automatically delete your game account.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise your rights; we may need to verify your request. Our providers may process data outside your country.
SongDuel Game is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Music and shared content may be unsuitable for younger audiences; follow the app’s App Store age rating and Apple’s content settings.
